How it Works

The Unified Payment Gateway (UPG) enables merchants to offer a seamless payment experience across multiple payment methods while keeping transactions secure and verifiable.

Transaction flow

  1. Merchant retrieves the available payment methods from the UPG API.
  2. Merchant displays the supported payment methods on their platform.
  3. Customer selects the preferred payment option.
  4. Merchant generates a secure transaction signature before sending the checkout request.
  5. Merchant initiates the checkout request to UPG.
  6. Customer completes the payment on the payment page.
  7. The transaction ID is returned through the callback URL.

Authentication and security

UPG uses a signature-based validation mechanism to protect transaction integrity and prevent request tampering.

  • Merchant must generate a valid signature before checkout.
  • The generated signature must be sent with the checkout request.
  • Any request without a valid signature will be rejected.
  • This helps ensure the request is authentic and has not been altered during transmission.
